<<And O'Neill recruited from Alcoa for his sound management has turned politician.>>

Really, I don't find that exactly fair. He was cursed with a strong dollar policy, weak stock market, & economy in the dumps when he entered office. A quick & total reversal of the prior policy would have been impossible. As we didn't see a Republican bail-out of Enron, your cries are largely wrong.Though I'm disappointed the manipulation of gold price has yet to be addressed, he has committed to "Let the Markets work", we shall see what happens. At the present time only the SEC but not the CFTC is under his watchful eye. A discussion in currently on going to consolidate the SEC & the CFTC under the Dept of the Treasury. This would go miles toward removal of the banking / brokerage industry oversight of the CFTC!!

The gold market today is much better than under Clinton & I suspect also under Gore who often pushed for sale of US gold reserves.
