And you may not think a Mercedes is worth the money, either, when you can get a comparably equipped car for much less.

The products that compete with the iPod are heavier, larger (to the point that none of them will fit in a pocket), have much shorter battery life, and no firewire.

Apparently, that's why so many people have disagreed with your assessment of its value and bought the iPod.
