Let's see: libertarian implies minimal state intervention (I thought).
Leftist implies MUCH state intervention.

What's odd is that many of the rightists here also seem to prefer state intervention - they just want to see it in different places.

This is something I've commented on before: when a liberal government is in place, conservatives don the mantle of anti-statism. When a conservative government is in place, liberals do the same. The only conclusion I can reach from this is that both sides are fond of big government - as long as it's their big government.
