If you want me to enter one of YOUR arguments, then OWN the damn argument...and invite me to take a position, or simply to share. You will find that I am very accomodating when people do not try to insinuate false premises through side doors, and when they act above board and with a modicum of respect for difference of opinion. I would find that preferable... I think I have been "owning" the arguments I have made. My mistake was that I thought you where claiming arguments that you where not. It seems to me that if you make a post that does not just link to a bunch of stats but quotes them, and the quotes all support one side of an argument that you have previously said that you support that you are using them as part of your argument. But apparently I was wrong in that assumption. Would it really have changed your reaction that much if I said "the websites argument" instead of "your argument" but otherwise my posts where unchanged? when what you meant was one or another statistic which you had come across on a link All my response where to the text of your posts, even if it was quoted info from that link. I didn't go over to the link and argue against statements that where made there that where not in your posts. I don't think my questioning of those points. Esp. questions like "what do they mean by children" where irrelevant or otherwise unimportant to the conversation but if you wish to consider them tiresome that is of course your prerogative. I could try to explain some things more specifically but it probably wouldn't be useful or interesting. I have a feeling it will just escalate things and I really don't want to go there. I'm not looking to pick a fight or to piss you off. Tim
