i didn't think the conference call was all that impressive, but mark smith did emphasize the pickup in orders for june. he seemed to think that the flat spell in the revenue growth that the whole sector has seen lately is at an end. he also seemed to have very high hopes for their new total reach product and their fifth-generation hdsl product which will ramp up to full steam next quarter. he said the fifth-generation product is much cheaper to manufacture than the fourth so even if they get stiff price competition from PAIR or whoever, they think their margins can still go UP! there was no real good explanation for the decline in total (telco + cpe) isdn sales. perhaps there was just a big inventory that their customers were clearing out. it was interesting to note that their headcount went up 8% since december. that could explain some of the SG&A increase. in any case, i'm still long... holding on to my shares :-) fwiw, marc
