I think most of us understand the challenges of complex technical developments. What you are ignoring is that AMD have already moved the date out by a year. If you have experience of development then you know that if you have to move a date then you make damn sure there is enough contingency that (barring disasters) you will make the revised date.

I don't think it is unrealistic to believe that AMD, who is currently shipping Hammer samples, has a reasonable idea of when they can produce final silicon.
