Dear giles,
As for taking OO private, I doubt it. OO only went public less than two years ago. Jannnard
buys OO to keep his holdings over 50% and to give investors confidence
in the company (so they buy more stock, and the price goes up, making
him more money in the process). I don't think Jannard is going to do
anything, but IF he did, a more likely scenario would be for someone to
buy the company out. After all, that is why he went public, to get
lots of money. He was actually a billionaire for a while. Someone had
an interesting scenario a while back. It was Nike buying out OO and
Jannard becoming a President or VP of Nike. He is friends with Nike
CEO Knight. If someone were to buy OO out (which I think is unlikely)
that would be the most plausible scenario in my mind.
