SAUDI ARABIA - RIYADH IS SUPPORTING AL-QAIDA (MAR 22/MEN)
Date: 03/22/2002
MIDDLE EAST NEWSLINE -- Saudi Arabia continues to allow the financial transfers to Al-Qaida terrorists despite strong international pressure, reports Middle East Newsline.

U.S. intelligence sources said Saudi princes are believed to be funding the flight of Al Qaida agents from Afghanistan to the Persian Gulf and Middle East.

Many of those who fled Afghanistan, said Western intelligence sources, are Saudis or those who had been sponsored by the House of Saud.
