DAK, I remember back in the 1980s when I managed a huge bond fund that Wall Street would have cut their wrists before taking anyone's side against me. Not that they thought I was right, but those commish fed the bulldog. Now, the commish big bond players pay just get their funds distributed by the brokers and generates very little collarteral. Times change. Of course, back then, bond funds were the 4 largest mutual funds (Magellan was fifth) in size. Now, Pimco, the biggest bond player, pales compared to a Fidelity or a Vanguard.
