Grace, No question about it. My fund paid more commissions than any other single fund in the country. Not only were we big, one of the top 3, but I sold bond and note futures calls against my long Treasuries. And had HUGE turnover. About 900% a year. I was the brokers' best friend. <g> Now, their trading desks didn't love me nearly as well, because they had to take major league risk to position my trades. And several of the desks got caught going the wrong way and the rest of the street would gang up on them when that happened. A few desks totally blew up. I didn't like that, but there was nothing I could do to stop them from offering prices that were unrealistic.

Now I'm just a wee willie wonka. <g>
