in europe, it is the same spectrum as far as frequency space, but it is not called the same, as it was not allocated exactly identical to the US. It is something else. Miltary radios, or airline pilots talk channels, or whatever. JUst because we have frequency space here doe s not mean it is the same there.

We have 825 to 890 for cellular, they have 890-975 or so for GSM. Not the same. close, but not the same.

We have 1920-thru 2005 for PCS, they have like 1780 thru 1860 for PCS.

All the countries have a slight difference unless they choose to make it exactly the same. In the case of Korea and Tiawan, they both choose to make it the same so that they could buy off the shelf equipment from the US to put it in at low cost.
