Ann, one thing I've noticed as a character trait of extremely liberal people is that they worry a lot about things in general and want to fix everything. This is not a bad personality trait, but they tend to distrust anyone in power unless they are perceived as being very liberal. I guess that after eight years of Clinton, it is a big shock to liberals' sysytems to have Bush et al. in power. I voted for him as the lesser of two evils, not that he's evil(I sure hope not!) but I wasn't enthralled by either candidate and Gore had too much stink of Clinton around him.
