One of the other Cypress board members: Pierre R. Lamond has been a general partner of Sequoia Partners since 1981 and manages several of the firm's venture capital funds, including Sequoia Capital IV, Sequoia Capital V, and Sequoia Capital Growth Fund. Mr. Lamond serves as a director of Vitesse Semiconductor, CKS Group Inc., and VidaMed Inc. Very interesting that Cypress is building chips which support digital video in ATM switching systems. ATM was designed with digital video and voice in mind, but it's good to see specialized support from companies like Cypress.
