Although this will probably surprise many who read the thread the semiconductor group appears to be only a few sessions away from finding another short term bottom.

I have 15 stocks showing up on my technical analysis screen for semiconductors of RSI of 20% or less. That is the highest I have seen in a while.

In addition my read of the chart indicates this as well:

stockcharts.com[h,a]daclyyay[pb50,200!d20,2][vc60][iUb14!La12,26,9!Uk14]&pref=G

This will be a short trading week due to Good Friday. I expect that the Nasdaq could still hit 1800 and that the SOX could hit the 50 day moving average before the Bulls take control again. All the selling has been on relatively light volume. I think the strength of the economic recovery beginning to be seen now will unfold nicely into 2003. The book-to-bill is being recorded differently now than it used to be. It is now based on billings only being booked when product is actually shipped. It will take a little while longer for the market to realize that revenues and earnings are lower than they would have been in past cycles because there is no longer any front loading of the numbers.

This could be over the next few sessions the last brief shake out before the strong climb higher for the majority of the semiconductor stocks.

Just my opinion, RtS
