It would be more precise to say "ungreatful european leaders".Often I have been told by older people in germany, france and italy of how thankful they were of the US for liberation and post war aid for food and reconstruction. PS .We all know how hard it is for politiciens to doff their hats and tug their forelocks in submisive thanks.
