We have two Goldens, and they are indeed a precious joy. The one girl that was diagnosed shows no symptoms, and immediately went on a heavy regime of antibiotics, to last for several weeks. We take them to the beach nearly every day, and she shows no signs whatsoever of fatigue or limb difficulties. So we are confident that the treatment will work. The deer ticks are nearly invisible to the eye, so they are a stealthy menace. You have to wonder why God created such a useless creature. (er, well, you don't have to wonder, but we do <ggg>).
