It is funny that you ascribe to all these theories that the US caused the Soviets to spend itself broke but the same doesn't hold for us? ********************************************************************************** The correlation is a continuous thread of containment, confrontation & military build-up that finally caused the glue to evaporate that held the USSR together. We have absolutely no choice, Rich. We were attacked with the promise of more to come if we do nothing. That's exactly happend to Pres Clinton when he sat on his hands after terrorist attacks. A balanced budget will mean nothing if terrorists blow up a few nuclear power plants. Please don't say that can't happen....7 mos ago none of us ever imagined the World Trade Center could be erased from the face of the earth....but it was.
