Green, you're talking in circles bud!

Apple is a "Niche!" because it's not the Vast Majority. Apple's market is not expanding because it's contracting. People "will continue to avoid buying them no matter how impressive or creative or user friendly" because "the Apple line it is and will always be a niche player."

The truth is you don't know. You think Apple's market is contracting. You think Apple is selling to the same people over and over again. But, you don't know that. It is pure conjecture on your part.

After all we're talking about a market. You make your statements in absolute terms when the dynamic calls for relative comparison. So, truth is not your goal. What is? Are you short?

Apple, the company, is doing quite well to have just been through a major market recession that is still washing out weak players. Apple products are better than they ever have been and are winning awards and recognition from the movers and shakers at every level of the creative content industry. The company is on a tear, bringing a cohesive product strategy to the personal computer market that is winning over consumers.

You know why? Because it's not just about the numbers. It's about personal empowerment. People choose their computer based on their expectations concerning the computer's ability to deliver.

In your fixed mind, that means go with the flow. The greater reason is an adaptation found by the masses. Personal reasoning only gets you in trouble. And I'll grant you that for most people that is the safest way to choose. But, for MANY OF US [not the majority] there is little reason in the collective judgement. We prefer to observe and delineate our own path. We see no fault in being in the minority or in being in the majority, as long as we're following our own ability to reason.

Right now my reasoning ability says this is the right one for a personal computer. It's MY personal choice based on MY experience with both platforms.

So, consider yourself - Lemming!
