<Host blood vessels are not co-opted by tumor cells but rather are used as trails for tumor cell invasion of the host tissue. Our data further suggest that the established microvasculature of growing tumors is characterized by a continuous vascular remodeling, putatively mediated by the expression of VEGF and Ang-2. >

2nd sentence: "putatively mediated". An odd choice of wording. Are the authors of the abstract simply saying "in the presence of VEGF" or something even more vague. What is the link between vascular remodeling and VEGF expression? Or is that the question?

1st sentence: kind of like 9/11's use of AA and UAL.
