I'm not sure it's most correct but it is hands down the most forgiving. It's seems that IE is the only browser where the "do what I mean" function is at least partially implemented. God forbid you forget an end tag in Netscape or worse forget to put a "space" in an otherwise empty table cell.

Some of the worst incompatibilities I've worked through had to do with Java applets that work fine in IE but freeze up Netscape browsers. No, I'm not using any MS extensions. It was particularly bad in Netscape 4.x. Netscape 6.2 seems to work a lot better.
