RtS, Down on the local level I see smaller companies being choked. Last week the President of our largest local bank was dismissed. This was the result of many bad loans to people and companies that really didn't have much of a chance for pay back in the bull market and had no chance of pay back in a recession. He just kept throwing money at his buddies and they couldn't perform.

A week later I noticed that Senior Loan Officers at another local bank got fired for the same reason. My point is that even though we have low interest rates the bad ideas still don't work and now the banks are under the magnifying glass and their hands are being slapped. This now stops the cash flow to the companies that can come out of a recession with a little support from those banks. I see many large bankrupcies on the horizon. K-Mart is just the tip of the Ice Burg!

I feel that tight trading rages are much in order and many leaves of absense are a must.

FWIW
