Electronic News (are they still around?) article. AMD gained share last year, but can they continue?

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) said that in 2001 it gained market share in PC microprocessors against rival Intel Corp. But can the company maintain or increase its momentum in 2002?

AMD had to make hay while the sun shines, as Intel was transitioning to P4. Intel thinks window has closed.

An Intel spokesman said that the company was in the midst of a product transition last year as it shifted production from the older Pentium III to Pentium 4 processors. During the transition, competitors were able to take advantage of the shift. However, now that the company has reached full volume on the P4, it fully expects the market-share gains to continue through the first quarter.

Nice picture of JSIII. Would you buy a used car from this man?
