Could this be because no questions are allowed, or nothing of substance is covered?
Those would be good reasons not to waste time, in a sham "meeting" that is just a one-way spew of non-information.

Any story of this sort needs to have quotes from both sides.

Otherwise it causes one to question the credibility in
(a) this story,
(b) the publication that issued it, and
(c) the poster that repeats it, without reading it with a logical eye.
