SEOUL, March 25 (Reuters) - South Korea's Samsung Electronics Co <05930.KS> said on Monday it will buy back shares worth 501.9 billion won ($380.6 million) to boost share prices.

Samsung, the world's largest computer memory chipmaker, said it would purchase 1.3 million common shares and 210,000 preferred shares <05935.KS> between March 29 and June 28.

Shares in Samsung, the country's largest stock by market capitalisation, were down 3,000 won to 347,500 won at 0332 GMT compared with a 0.2 percent drop in the broader market <.KS11>.
