Even Contrary Investor is taking notice:

"As Tim so kindly presents for us, gold is tracing out a rather enticing technical pattern. A very solid bottoming formation. Is it off to the moon from here? Who knows. Personally, we'd prefer a very labored movement higher. Backing and filling and backing and filling. As you know, the shiny stuff does not have to go to $500 to put some rather solid fundamental improvement into company specific operations. A sustainable move to the $325-350 area would do the trick. As a clearly off topic comment, we are convinced that inflation will again become an issue state side. What we have not yet figured out is when. At least in a mainstream sense when it will ultimately count in asset prices. Conceivably years down the road as there are still plenty of deflationary forces aligned on the planet. And then again, maybe not. A promised topic for a later discussion. In the meantime, we are watching the chart of gold with much more than just current interest in the metal. "
