Well, following the icecap melting the ~70% of the UK which will still be above water may have a better climate - of course, this excludes most of the best crop land.

OTOH the likely failure of the North Atlantic Drift (which is powered, it seems, at least in part, by cold water sinking from the icecaps) would return our climate to that of the Newfoundland area with which we share latitude. Bummer.

Still, good news for the prospects of better weather in the coastal Sahara region.
