I don't mean to disrespect the history. I just wonder about her reaction. I understand that her speech was long so perhaps I didn't get a good perspective on it from watching only the news reports, which didn't play the whole thing. It seems to me that when an actress is surprised and excited about winning an Academy Award and looses her composure, a more natural reaction is the one by Sally Field that got her so much grief: "You like me, you really, really like me." I got the impression from what I saw on the news that Halle Berry didn't recognize that SHE SHE SHE had won the award.
