| I have a jumbo Corning Visions pot. The reason I like it is that you can see through it and know when the water is going to boil over. I have a Visions saucepan, too, for cooking rice for the opposite reason--you can see without opening it when all the water is absorbed. And a twelve inch T-Fal skillet, which is absolutely flat, as required for use on my smoothtop stove, cooks very evenly, is durable, and can be cheaply replaced at Walmart periodically. I have no real use for any other stovetop pieces. I have a wonderful, sturdy, teflon-covered griddle pan that I use in the over for roasting. And some Corning pieces suitable for microwave, stovetop, storage, and serving. I'm way past the point in life where I crave a matched set of pots. FWIW. |
