Would that qualify as a sacred trust?

I don't see any reason to qualify the word, trust, with anything. I recognize the meaning of someone giving me his word. When I give my word, you can count on it. I really don't object to the word, sacred, used in that context. I might well use it myself to convey how important and precious something was to me. I've probably used the word on one of these threads. I would use the word to describe the responsibility of a parent to his child. It's a good word in its secular context. In its religious context, it makes me itch. If that makes any sense...
