Well I tried to phrase the example as some sort of ultimate trust lending, that needn't be religiously founded.

You can trust your kids to behave as kids...testing limits. You can trust your partner to behave as a business partner...gain as much share as possible. You can trust friends as long as they are not put in a personally compromising position. You can trust a politician to represent a particular platform, until he sees that platform as no longer politically viable. etc. etc. etc. None of these things involve stone carvings.

So do you identify with any ultimate forms of trust or veneration?
