As an ebay consumer, I am wondering why PayPal is attractive. Does using PayPal make the transaction less secure for consumers? Is there any protection for fraud or misrepresentation of the goods?

I avoid using money orders or cashiers checks as I feel there is no recourse if something goes wrong.

I would appreciate your expert comment on this.
