Jonathan - the Organic LED displays are starting to come together. I haven't followed them closely enough to comment on particular designs and companies, but it is starting to look like a viable technology. Designs that can be produced on flexible foils could eventually become "digital paper". The greatest barrier to organic LEDs is likely to be their lifetime restrictions. The chemical features of organic molecules which make them photoactive also make them reactive. Successful commercialization of OLEDs will require either long life, or very low cost. If long life is not achieved, there still might be a market for disposable displays....the equivalent of our present magazines and newspapers. Sorry, but I can't comment on Candescent's IPO plans. If/when an IPO is announced, it will probably be posted at candescent.com -bob
