TGPTNDR I intended it to be far simpler illustration that once overall cost per chip is known the components of cost are not really important. Our precess thingy expert seems to find that simple truth very hard to understand. :-)) I do not doubt that Intel did plenty of manipulations to come up with '01 profit. The fact that the revenues for americas and outside are similar yet there was a loss in US and huge gain outside of US does not (or should not) give intel investors as well as regulators (SEC) a lot of confidence in numbers.
