Most filmstars, rich and desperate people, ones which had a very permissive lifestyle, followed him in India. To most conservative middle class Indians, he seemed akin to a devil....he almost blessed group orgys and such stuff....even participated in them... But, his teachings made a lot of sense to a certain, specific class of Indian population...I guess they make sense when followed in absolute...but right now our societies are not advanced enough to accept perversity and permissiveness to that extent... 100 years down the line...who knows...? Maybe he was just ahead of his time... I remember being in grade 6 or 7....and it all seemed very.....vulgar....esp back in 70s and 80s...and very especially in India, where the word sex is taboo...
