I couldn't understand why it was allowed when I read about it at the time either.
Had they not let the bin laden family relatives leave, a lot of people would have cried that we were on a witch hunt. I wouldn't have cared, I would have detained every single one of them, and I would have examined every single phone call that was made to them and from them, and every bank transfer etc etc etc. They'd probably all still be in jail. But I am not the one in charge. (thank heaven, right ritchie)
