>> You are obviously worried about the "poor and wretched masses" arriving and proving how worthless you are at your job... <<
ok, so let's follow your line of reasoning to its logical conclusion. if americans shouldn't worry about a flood of immigrants arriving (legally or not) to compete with us for a job, then i assume you have no problem with the united states totally opening its borders completely to the billions of potential workers abroad.
for the entire world who chooses to come stay with us while looking for a job, i trust you have no problem with your taxes being spent to provide free medical services, welfare, free public education (including reduced tuition at universities), bilingual education, etc. of course we are going to have to give them all driver's licenses. i assume that you don't mind using your tax dollars to pay for all the infrastructure improvements that will be needed to accommodate all these "poor and wretched masses". more roads, more police, more fire, more prisons, more public utilities, government services, etc.
of course we will need to award citizenship to their offspring who are born here, and later in keeping with recent tradition we will grant them all amnesty and the opportunity to become citizens themselves. |
