Heh- that's what I've been saying for a while... the problem is, what other route do we take? My current vote is for Israel to unilaterally draw up a Palestinian state which leaves Israel with secure borders and with Jerusalem, pull its settlers out of the settlements, give the Arabs in Israel property the option to stay and be peaceful or leave, and then build a wall between it and the new Palestinian state. It would give Israel somewhat of a moral high ground- if the Palestinians continue to attack, then Israel can say, "Hey, they've got a state, we're not occupying, yet they still attack us", and then can take it from there.

It's not ideal, but it's the best I can think of.
