I was about to reply annoyedly to your "I said what I prefer
which is not to name call," post, citing a few of your recent nasty references to your fellow posters, including but not limited to a recent reference to SI as a "sewer" and to the "hypocrisy" of which you accuse your fellow posters in this sarcastic post from yesterday:

Message 17239388

but I just came across this:

. Be assured, however, that I will be trying not to attack anyone else, or call them names- no matter what bad behavior I encounter.

And I think you mean it. So I'm dropping it.

But I point out that the fact that, really, the above resolution isn't going to work if you don't count as "attacks" by you supercilious references to nameless antagonists whose identities are for the most part not a secret, and don't count as "name calling" ugly characterizations that use the loophole of omitting nouns.

People do know when they are being insulted, patronized and called names, X, even if it's done generically and with attempted deniability.

But anyway, good wishes and excelsior. As far as I'm concerned, this is an unusually civil thread, and there's no reason it can't be both lively and civil.
