My daddy always said that "hope" was like "wishing
in one hand, and "sh..ing" in the other, and guess
which one gits filled first". I'm 59 years old now,
and wish to hell that he was wrong, but thus far he
hasn't been. BTW, I still "hope" 'cause I never gave
to much credence to his thoughts.
