If you take each resovior of oil on it's own, then you can make the same argument, that in the scheme of things it doesn't add that much. The gas milage problem is more of the doing of the buying public as anything else. The suv crowd that "needs" that rugged vehicle to get to and fro and get that bag full of groceries is just as much to blame.
How would they survive doing that in an escort, our roads are awful, the Indians will get them, we have blizzards and sandstorms everyday, here in America.
