In a general sense, "hope" is crucial for most anything planned for the future. Since nothing is guaranteed, we look forward with hope for a brighter day when things are bad. Shorts hope for the market to go down, and us unfortunate Cisco longs "hope" for anything except more losses <g>. It is easy to tell who is hoping for what by their posts, even if they deny having any such motives.......

Hope is essential in all areas of our lives. Certainly in the stock market. I think you can assume that the "fear and greed" market moving forces already have hope, as well as many other emotions and motivations, included.
