>BTM-UBSW RETAIL CHAIN SALES OFF 9.6% IN MARCH 23 WEEK< I found this figure interesting. As some here know I own a hardware store in the Atlanta area. We had a good year last year and our sales were in both January and February. However, March has been a different story. We are down about 6% mtd. We thought it was something to do with the weather. Seeing the above number it may be part of a trend. The durable goods report was also weak this am. As I type the Nas is rocketing up. Go figure! Joe
