The approval process in Europe is less stringent and less costly
So that's why Europe always has drugs available before the US! My wife has bad asthma and new drugs for it are always available in Europe before they are here.
It would be interesting to see their drug-related mortality statistics as compared to the US. The thalidomide disaster is well known, but that was 40 years ago.

Yup.

Most companies charge less for their drugs in other countries
Yup.

we end up subsidizing the rest of the world.
Yup. We pay the development and approval costs, which are in the billions. Then other countries get the benfit of that. Many countries don't really have the equivalent of an FDA. They rely on US approval.

We have more money so we pay more money
Yup. There is talk of controlling drug prices in the US. Which juswt could be killing the goose that lays those treatments and cures.

I think there is starting to be alot of discussion about people ordering their drugs online from Canada. Some of the drugs are 1/2 price and the generic drugs are 1/4!!!!! That's pretty amazing.
Yup.
Tell it to marcos. He keeps whining about how we're exploiting the Canadians.
