if only life were that simple. windmills are not a realisitc solution for the time being, although slapping an import tariff on foreign oil does sound realistic, because it will serve to make all domestic energy sources more competitive, including windmills.

alas, i nearly forgot. we can't have tariffs. tariffs are for big government socialists. you know, those george washington, james madison, alexander hamilton, abraham lincoln, teddy roosevelt kind of socialists.
