The irony of Ducks Unlimited, is that it is funded from private sources, mainly duck hunters. Only in Canada, eh!

Ducks Unlimited Canada is a habitat conservation organization, conserving wetlands and associated habitats for the benefit of waterfowl, other wildlife and people. Ducks Unlimited Canada was founded more than 60 years ago by sportsmen, who recognized that conserving wetlands helps to ensure the future of waterfowl populations. Today Ducks Unlimited Canada is strongly supported by both hunters and non-hunters who recognize the many benefits associated with our habitat conservation program.

Ducks Unlimited Canada supports the sustainable use and harvest of renewable resources based on sound science. We support waterfowl hunting, when conducted in an ethical and sustainable manner, as a legitimate and acceptable use of a renewable resource.

Ducks Unlimited Canada does not direct its resources toward the influence of firearm or hunting legislation unless the legislation is clearly and directly related to waterfowl habitat conservation.

Same deal with the West Coast quacks, we have to conserve them so we can hunt them at a later date when they're more mature and meaty, always making sure we keep the population at a sustainable level...

Better keep the Shannon shotgun hidden away, for now!
