Kieth, your jingoistic stupidity is a prime example of why I no longer take SI seriously. Naturally it all comes back to Al Gore. (lol). Why don't you take some time and get an education and quit trying to define the world in terms of conservative diatribe.

Tobin is actually quite a well respected economist. I have not read the particular article where he threw out this idea, but I would imagine, when shorn of the hysterics that you impart to it, it might actually have been a part of a very reasonable argument. That is not to say it would ever be accepted; but it may have been used to illustrate that quite a small tax could go a long way in helping to alleviate suffering among the worlds poor. (damn that Tobin for his Humanism...or is it just plain humanity?)

And lets all fear the Democrats! Hell what can we expect of a party that the majority of people in this country were stupid enough to vote for in the last election...what a bunch of losers! Better to crank of up the hysterical xenophobic fear machine....after all....UN means people of color doesn't it?

White cracker bastids..... have learned to cloak you alls racist bs. Gots to take it out of your own area now that the mayor is of color and don't stand for that kind of crap in town no more. But it stinks just the same, and putting that international wrapping around it don't change the awful smell.
