i'm not really interested in getting bogged down with discussions about the merits of each particular tariff, whether it be steel, lumber etc. most people have been suckered into believing tariffs are bad in any form, so i think it is more constructive to make the case for tariffs in general rather than spend time laboriously debating the merits of a specific case.
