quotes by a few people, don't make a whole group of people anything, the way I look at the world. If you want to think it does, that's fine. But I would prefer to see the media as a group of individuals, which is what they are, rather than judge them all, by the comments of a few, filtered by web logs that probably have the same biases and pov problems as the rest of the media. The bias of course, is that they are driven by our needs for sensationalism. We make the media whatever it is they are- and that is driven to satisfy our baser impulses of seeing people in the world, and events, as more black and white, and sensational, than they ever are. JMO
But please, don't waste my time by posting your quotes to me. I won't enjoy it, and it will waste my time. |
