The greed is mainly on behalf of the buddies who gain.

What gain are you talking about? Access to ANWR? Perhaps a slight effort to make regulation in one or two areas easier to cope with? Or are you talking about actual corruption and special benefits to companies like Enron? If so what where the special benefits?

Is it corrupt if a politician makes an effort to make rules that will benefit some group if he or she really thinks that the rule change is the right thing to do? I would say know. What do you think?
