Before l917 the Jews were a tiny percentage of the population of Palestine--(maybe 10,000)! The Jews who colonized Palestine after l917 came mostly from Russia and Eastern Europe (Khazar Jews who converted in the ninth century and really have no biblical (heirs of Abraham) claim to Palestine in the first place), and Europe. After WWII, many Sephardic Jews also colonized Palestine.

The Palestinians and other Arabs were indigenous to this area and not colonialists as were the Zionist Jews. In l917, there were more than 600,000 Palestinians living in what is Israel/Palestine today. Through a process of ethnic cleansing and brutality, the Zionist colonizers created a Jewish majority. This was clearly part of the original Zionist blueprint developed by Herzl and others at the beginning of the twentieth century.

Finally, England's mandate over Palestine and Jordan did not give them the right to dispose of land that was owned by the Palestinian people. Ninety percent of land in Israel proper was illegally confiscated when Israel declared independence. This land was set aside after 48 in a special trust where only Jews can use the land. So much for Israel's so-called democracy!
